“I’m drawn by the authentic story, where the viewer is invited to really feel something. I wish to move closer and understand the feelings within the story and the people I work with. As the son of a photographer, visuals and the playful part have always been key elements of my work. I, for instance, love to play around with different formats to break through the polished surface and discover what lurks beneath.”

As a teenager, Anton started working in advertising as a DOP and editor. Besides that, he began directing music videos and short films on the side. His curiosity about traveling led him to Paris, where he learned French and then stayed to work in Parisian film and advertising for some years. He uses his broad know-how and hands-on experience in all parts of film production, which makes him flexible and capable of understanding how to collaborate with many different types of people, both behind and in front of the camera.

“What drives me as a director is being curious on every project to find an angle that interests me and allows me to grow, not only as a storyteller but also as a person. The films I make should create curiosity and new perspectives. If I manage to entertain and at the same time make people see things in a new way, then I’m thrilled.”
